Recreating tennis tournament souvenir apparel of yesteryear.
Tournaments and their sponsors come and go.
Where once was a tennis oasis, now is a shopping mall.
It is a sign of the times.
I wanted to re-create what may have been a tournament souvenir sweatshirt. Here is some 'merch' I made about the Suisse Tennis Cup that was set for 1978. To keep the shirt of the era, Helvetica was used in line with a clean Swiss grid design format.

Each shirt is a work of art utilizing the fabric as a canvas. On the reverse side of the shirt, the artist's signature is placed into a motif inspired by his first professional tennis racquet, the Wilson Ultra 2. This practice echoes the 1980’s trend where designers added their name to apparel as a mark of high design and quality.

Each garment is hand screened with plastisol inks adding to the graphic’s brightness & durability, ensuring a vintage ‘cracked’ feel as the shirt ages. *Plastisol is a dense ink layer that sits atop the shirts fabric and is heated into the fibers.
Certified organic, ultra-soft cotton fleece has a cozy brushed interior and is a standard unisex fit. The garment is reverse flatlock stitched and features 4" wide, double-folded, flat-knit, side ribbing for added flexibility. Additionally, no toxic dyes, chemical fertilizers or pesticides, or formaldehyde were used in the production of this product. This is an exceptionally high-quality and comfortable version of everyone's favorite wardrobe essential. These exceed every expectation of plain sweatshirts.
