I wanted to create a shirt that pays a vibrant homage to the spirited era of 1970s minor league baseball teams. Each shirt is a work of art utilizing the fabric as a canvas. On the reverse side of the shirt, the artist's signature is placed into a motif inspired by his first professional tennis racquet, the Wilson Ultra 2. This practice echoes the 1980’s trend where designers added their name to apparel as a mark of high design and quality.
