A lot of people say that when you operate a business nowadays that you should niche down. Everyone is becoming a specialist. There are big businesses that deal with microscopic gaps of all types.
I didn’t do that. I niched up. And I have physically seen how, for example, tennis players won’t respond to an American football post. Or a basketball fan would get turned off by a soccer meme. I can understand that.
But there is something about the world of sports that just excites me. It’s like years ago when the Olympics came on TV. It kinda didn’t matter what country or sport was being played. The sportscaster found some backstory to an athlete or two to espouse and then we were dialed in.
It wasn’t a victory lap about your country or sport, but a celebration of the human spirit. One that we all share.
You can get so used to something that you begin to lose sight of what it actually is. Sometimes, It takes a shock or loss to practice mindfulness and then reality opens up like a flower. Again.
I stumbled upon Moss Point in Laguna Beach one morning, a place where I have taken lessons many times. New eyes.
