STAY DOWN! Training Camp Boxing Hoody

DESCRIPTION

In our darkest times, our largest foe is often our mind.

This hoody is a defiant symbol of conquering negativity. A triumphant boxer, depicted boldly, towers over a fallen adversary—negative beliefs and ego, defeated and motionless. The front commands with unwavering authority: "STAY DOWN!" A powerful directive, a resounding call for negativity to surrender and cease its futile struggle against positivity. This shirt is more than fabric; it's a visual anthem of empowerment, urging wearers to rise above challenges, crush negativity, and stand tall in life's arena.

I was in a very tough spot in life and had to reconcile my 'negative' bank account. There was no one to help. No one can help. The opponent was me. I had to command my negative beliefs to 'Stay Down!' I had to keep saying that over and over until a gap of peace formed. And in that peace, space opened up to create the drawing you see here. And in another space of peace, came the idea of this hoody as a figurative 'coach'.

I also inscripted on the cuffs, in the similar fashion as boxing glove logos, a reminder to always "KEEP YOUR" "GUARD UP". Once you're up and ready to fight (again), a good defense leads to a successful offense.

Keep fighting. Keep believing. It's all you truly have.

-Joe

Each shirt is a work of art utilizing the fabric as a canvas. On the reverse side of the shirt, the artist's signature is placed into a motif inspired by his first professional tennis racquet, the Wilson Ultra 2. This practice echoes the 1980’s trend where designers added their name to apparel as a mark of high design and quality.
