Hockey is Heavy Metal & Rock-n-Roll. And the two are combined on this eye-catching shirt.
Every time I have gone to a professional Hockey game, in-between the time-outs, the face-offs, the intermission, etc., electrifying metal music would be played to amp up the crowd. It feels consistent with the board busting aspect of the sport. Every time I would hear that music in the stands, I kept thinking, “Wouldn’t it be great to make a 'death metal' shirt combining the two?” Here is what played out in my head.
‘POWERPLAYZ’ is a fictional death metal band from the outskirts of any northern hemisphere country with a lot of snow. They overall, tend to be more into hockey than other sports. This is their concert tee from their fictional first North American tour. It is the Meat Wagon shredding his guitar solo on his ax guitar, brought to life.
